Town of Groveland, Massachusetts

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program at the Groveland Summer Recreation Program is a chance for young teens (entering eighth grade through age 15), who are not yet old enough for a counselor position, to assist in the day-to-day operations of our program.  CITs will be assigned to a specific age group and help the group's counselors in all of their group's daily activities.  Duties may include running a certain activity or sport, assisting the younger campers with any needs that they may have, or assisting an injured camper.

CITs will have specific responsibilities on field trips and special event days.  As a thank you to all the CITs hard work during the summer, a special CITs' only field trip is planned for the end of the summer.

CITs are expected to act as role models to the campers and will be required to work closely with their group's counselors.  All CITs must follow program rules and regulations.  If a CIT has a successful summer with the program, he/she may return in future summers, and once a CIT turns 16, he/she will be looked at first for any open counselor positions.

THERE ARE ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF CIT POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR 2009!
