2011 UPDATE:
We will begin accepting applications for the position of counselor in February 2011. Please check back at the beginning of February for updated information.
---------------
The Groveland Summer Recreation Program is extremely lucky to have a great staff of hard-working adults and young adults who care for all of our campers and CITs. The large amount of positive feedback from both the children and parents about the staff here at the GSRP has been overwhelming and definitely a tribute to all of these hardworking people.
If you enjoy working with children between the ages of 5 -14, are 16 years old or over as of June, 2011, and able to commit to working Monday - Friday for eight weeks during the summer, please come to our camper sign-up night in February, 2011 to fill out an application. A group of potential counselors will be chosen from the applications we receive and will be called for an interview by the end of April. This process is vigorous, as we take this position very seriously. The position of counselor is extremely competitive. We receive many applications (usually over 40!) with only a few positions available. If you are interested, you must attend the camper enrollment night in February to fill out an application.
All counselors have a criminal background check (CORI) performed on them by the Town of Groveland prior to working at the Groveland Summer Recreation Program.
Click here for more information on CORI checks.
If you have any questions about the position of counselor, please contact our director, Matt Castonguay at mcastonguay@gsrp.org .
